The 200 entries submitted for the 48th edition were judged by 10 preliminary juries (one per category) all made up of media professionals, experts, academics and representatives of Dexia. 28 works were nominated for the final round. The winners were chosen from among the nominees by the final jury, which will be composed of delegates from the preliminary juries on April 28.

History
The history of the Dexia Press Awards goes back to the creation of the print media award - In Belgium - in 1963.
The radio and television awards have been granted since 1969. In 1978 and 1979 the sports press award and the photography award were created.
The financial and economic press award was granted for the first time in 1988 to mark the 25th anniversary. In 1996 the German-speaking press was recognized as a distinct category.
