At its meeting of December 5, 2002, the Board of Directors of Dexia nominated
Paul-Louis Halley as a member of the Board, to replace Daniel Lebègue.
His appointment to the Board will be proposed at the next shareholders'meeting
of the company.
The Board of Directors will benefit from Mr Halley's experience in the fields
of distribution and international activities.
Paul-Louis Halley, 68, studied in France and in the United Kingdom before starting
his career as Sales Manager in the family-owned company Halley-Frères.
In 1961, he was the co-founder of Promodès, uniting seven family-owned
companies located in Normandy and Brittany, where he was successively Director
of Development (1962-1969), Chief Operating Officer (1969-1972) and Chairman
and CEO of Promodes Group (1972-1999).
