Appointment of Marc Meyer Director of Corporate Communications for the Dexia Group

Marc Meyer joins the Dexia Group and, as of January 1st, 2008 will be responsible for the management of the Dexia Group Communications. He is reporting to Axel Miller, Chairman of the Management Board. He will take over his responsibilities from Robert Boublil who will be nominated advisor to the Chairman of the Management Board.
With a degree from the Paris-Sorbonne University, Marc Meyer started his career in 1984 in the French Parliament. In 1986 he joined Group Bull, an international IT firm rooted in France where he managed corporate public affairs and communications for Europe.
In 1997 he joined Thomson multimedia (now Thomson), an international consumer electronic firm. He served as chief of staff of the new CEO and took over the responsibility of the group communications as Senior Vice President for Corporate Communications and Management Networks. In 2001, he was promoted to the company Executive Committee.
In 2002, he became Senior Executive Vice President for Communications in France Telecom and Orange groups. Serving in the company Executive Committee, he led during four years communications of the second largest European Telco operator.
In the first semester of 2005, Marc Meyer took a three months period as Special Advisor for Media and Communications to the newly appointed French Ministry of Economy and Finance. He returned to France Telecom Executive Committee. In 2007, Marc Meyer founded 2M Conseil, his own consultancy firm, specialized in management and Communication.
Marc was conferred Knight of the French Legion of Honour, in 2006.
