Dexia Foundation France is organising the School’s very first national meeting, at which their “pupils” will have another chance to take the floor, get to know each other a little better and take stock of their efforts and achievements. The meeting is to take place at the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine in Paris.
Set up in 2007 by the Dexia Foundation and the National Council of Local Missions, the School has already organised 30 local sessions and played host to more than 350 adolescent boys and girls from all over France, all job-seekers registered with their local Mission. The School for Citizenship gives them the chance to pool ideas and talk things over with adults actively engaged in the social, economic and political life of the country in order to gain a better appreciation of their role as a citizen in society.
The event will be officially opened by Pierre Mariani and Maurice Leroy, French Minister of the City, and in the presence of numerous local officials.
