Dexia’s sustainable development initiative applies both to its internal operations (policy on staff welfare and society as a whole, environmental responsibility) and to its commercial activities (investments, loans, project finance).

A sustainable development action plan

Since 2006 this initiative has been organised within a sustainable development action plan. Concrete targets are set every year. The success of the policy pursued is verified by an independent auditor using a variety of performance indicators.

Combating climate change – a priority

Being aware that this is a major issue that our customers and our company have to face up to, Dexia pursues an active policy intended to limit its effects on the environment, both direct (with the aim of quickly achieving carbon neutrality in energy consumption and business travel) and indirect (i.e. as part of its business operations).

Since 2006, the Dexia Group has halved the CO2 emissions related to energy consumption by its buildings and business travel by its staff.
