The International Centre for Local Credit (ICLC), which brings together 23 public sector banks including Dexia, holds a conference on 15 and 16 October in Brussels.

Discussions will focus on the impact of the financial and economic crisis on banks specialized in public sector finance and their local partners (local authorities, etc.).

Discussions are based on a ICLC study. The ICLC was founded in 1958 at the initiative of three European banks, i.e. Crédit Communal de Belgique, Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten and Kommunalbanken Norge. Its objective is to promote a common reflection on their practices and their missions in support of local players.
